Artrocker Review

Yo, long time, no post.

Well we’ve been waiting for cool (cool to us?) stuff to post.  And here’s something, Artrocker came down to our London gig last week, and reviewed us…check it out below…

Sweet huh?  Seems like it’s great when we go to London right? Well guess what, we have another London gig! 12th June we’re coming to Buffalo bar in Islington, playing at 8.15 before Hey Sholay. Sweeeeeeet.

You know how googlemail puts targeted ads in the side panel? I don’t think it works, as mine has Holidays in Majorca, Leeds Carpet Cleaners, and Pensions. Fully sure I’ve only been up for cleaning my carpet this month. Step it up Google.

Interview – Vibrations Magazine

Yo,

Well we’ve finished a nice little run of gigs off the back of the big tour in January, and confirmed a couple of great festivals (see the sidebar on the right), so all very exciting.  Last month we got interviewed by local Leeds magazine Vibrations…got some new pictures from the awesome Brad Pettman too, all on there…check out the magazine below:

ALSO…check out 6music tonight, Tom Robinson is giving us a play on his Fresh on the Net show…

A Negative Narrative!

Thank you to all who came to our Leeds gig, it was nice to see such a crowd of revellers on a Wednesday night, and the collective musicians (Harry/Afghan Hounds/Blanche Hudson Weekend) did you all proud as did the guest DJs ‘To and Fro’  (some great Whitesnake played in pack down. Emotional band scenes as we took apart the drum kit).

We’ve just been added to the Negative Narrative site.  This is an interview of a different kind, we gave our answers purely in photos we had taken.  I don’t think the band have had this much fun with an interview ever so we’re delighted to be asked to do this.  If you click on the link below there is much to be seen…also click on “read more” under our profile picture that involves a bear and you can get a sneak preview of a moving image we’ve been working on. hey,

here are some early reviews of our new ep the process ep…click on the site name to see the full review…

“CLUB SMITH’s outstanding talent is to have taken a distinctive white soul approach to danceable pop music, then intensified it and strengthened it with every new release.”
Whisperin and Hollerin

“A glossy, high-octane combination of awkward indie, heady pop, and the occasional smattering of fizzy electro, all topped off with professional-sounding vocals. Frightening good, especially for a second release.”
Leedsmusicsene.net

“Club Smith have created here an emotionally charged and atmospheric collection of songs, all of which include a big chorus and have the potential to become a great British success.”
Leedsindieradio.net

“They now stand with two really exceptional, polished EPs. I’ve yet to see these guys live which is something that will be addressed as soon as. This band really do have the potential to be something really quite special…Log under: Emerging Brilliance.”
Allgigs.co.uk

“[Club Smith's] brave formula twists the pop ideology to create a distinctive sound which grows with each listen…‘The Process EP’ gives us a multi-layered four song selection that surpasses the plain repetitiveness we hear all too often.”
Live Music Scene

You can pre-order the ep from here: http://allsortedrecords.bigcartel.com/product/the-process-ep it’s £2.99 and shipped everywhere.  Also you can get it on itunes/play/amazon and all that from everywhere on 14th june.
