Hey, check out our new player at the bottom of the page! Found this cute little soundcloud thing by basically mining codes on other websites. Dork Power!
I’ve put a track you might have heard live on there for first listen…here is the extended outro we do live, if you’re wondering how to dance to it…
If there is anything I have learnt this week it is that Plymouth is a long way from Leeds, but it’s a pretty good place to play a gig. Anyway, Birmingham welcomed us early on Friday evening but it didn’t stop the hordes from making their way in which was great. Someone had deposited a fairly frightening pornographic magazine in our dressing room toilet and much hilarity followed with our crew cutting out their favourite shots from “40 and over” and sneaking it into the band’s bags, coat pockets, or putting it on a wall and drawing Vijay’s face on it. Don’t ask what the beard was…
I forgot to mention we got to see this awesome keyboard in Derby!
That blew our tiny minds for a long time. Plymouth Pavilions on Saturday was enormous…Look!!!
And the crowd was incredible! Additionally the other support band All the Young dedicated a song to us to say goodbye, what lovely chaps. We have had such a great response on this tour it’s been quite humbling. We sold 900 tour cds and vinyls which was pretty nuts, and we’ve been treated really well by all the crew, bands and venue staff. We even got Champagne from Kaiser Chiefs on the last date…
So to say we’re charmed is an understatement. I’m pretty sure we’ll return to all the places we’ve been fairly soon, most likely this year. So thanks to everyone who has come, we’ve got our own bit of touring starting this week which is proper good and what not…
Well, our new single got a play from Tom Robinson on 6music again last night. I was confused to think it would be tomorrow what with it being early morning but I misunderstood that when the clock strikes midnight we are thus attending Sunday, so I missed it. But tis on the iplayer fear not.
Anyway, you can hear the new single right here:
Aggressive isn’t it. God we are SO angry. Most practice sessions are ruined by outrageous outbursts, mainly because Lee doesn’t seem to understand the vital relationship between the sugar and the stir when it comes to making a good cup of tea. It makes my blood boil. One day, he may learn, but until then the music’s probably going to be right knarky.
So, we’re going to be ridiculous busy now till the end of the year, which should take the edge off the ridicule I invite in other areas of my life. We’re writing an album and then we’ll record it, and we’re also touring this single…which is out on 7th November on All Sorted !?! Records on itunes and ting. It’s a record label we are very close to, the man who runs it drove us around on tour with Pigeon Detectives until we had to leave him in Bristol because of his suffering from absurd food poisoning. We shoved him into a travelodge like a stray dog at the pound and then wiped down everything he touched with disinfectant. That’s love for you. Surprised he still talks to us.
Here’s the tour…we’re adding dates to it all the time…yeay!
We’ve not actually mentioned it on this site but we have another EP coming out on the 14th June.
It’s called THE PROCESS EP.
Here’s the tracklisting:
1. The Green Room
2. Causing Doubt
3. Do you despair?
4. Young Defeatists
And here’s what the sleeves look like:
sweeeeeet. All made out of environmentally friendly ink and recycled materials and stuff. green club.
Here is the power pritt I used for the first 50 (I have very many more to put together). I’m not sure how environmentally friendly this vicious bastard is but I like the way it is a POWER pritt so I don’t really care. mtv generation, sorry.
That isn’t a horribly stained sofa it’s a suitcase. A horribly stained suitcase.
YOU CAN BUY THE EP HERE: http://allsortedrecords.bigcartel.com/product/the-process-ep
It’s from our boy Dudley who has given us a home for our music in Norwich for these EPs (All Sorted!?! Records). He’s about to have a child, please buy the EP for his sake if not ours. Or for the fact it’s DEAD GOOD.
We’re also going on tour. so far we know we’re playing these dates but we might do more.

hello, I think this is a blog of sorts?
no it’s probably not big enough. I have something to mention though, when Simon Cowell did his interview last night with undeniably-evil-and-reason-behind-everything-wrong-in-the-world Piers Morgan he said this about his childhood:
“Yes I was excluded from my first school, I can’t remember what for…”
You can’t remember what for Simon? Are you sure? Something as big as getting excluded and reason escapes you? Or was it you just were a horrible little bastard and didn’t want to mention it on national TV? To get excluded you’ve got to do something pretty bad surely? And why am I still angry about this the morning after? Is there something much worse wrong with me? Why can’t people in the public eye be honest about their mistakes though? This is probably a much bigger question that I don’t have the experience to touch on but it winds me up.
Piers Morgan life stories…candid interviews, but only as candid as the pr machine wants them to be. TOSS. Don’t even get me started on the Gordon Brown one…
Here’s some pictures from our tour so far. They’re basically just pictures of us being a bit lame really…
Just to prevent any confusion for future…our tour in march/april…WILL feature a couple of hair songs in each set. this is because despite the fact we’ve written a whole new club smith set and got them ready to go we booked the tour before we changed names, and plus anyone who’s come to see us before wouldn’t have been expecting the change, may have bought tickets and that…so we’re trying to give a bit of what everyone wants…
